Spent most of the day reading to Anika. Miklos demanded kisses and good-night's before bedding back down each time he woke --about every 90 minutes, whoa is me. Meridel, who didn't nap until noonish, spend all day rocking around the bed or the pack-n-play out in the yard and finally fell asleep wearing a wicked grin.

PS: FB shot the sheriff, right? After reading this entry I wonder if the Terror Alert Level needs a companion.

Perhaps a "Public Terror Index".

This could help members of the public (who may not be able to watch TV or read much) figure out the level of fear appropriate to various activities. It would measure such things as how often news programs cite the Terror Alert Level and the amount of air-time and column space dedicated to terrorism related events compared with how recently those events occurred, providing indices for common activities such as flying or walking or napping outside in the afternoon given various wind conditions and cloud cover situations.

A nice weekend, following a very full week. Monday Dee and I met with Renaissance Festival managment, successfully working out most of our contract for the season. Not exactly peace in our time...

Tuesday, the band (minus Erik "The Working Man" Emery) played for National Night Out. This was smashing. We now have an official Heckler. My favorite? Addressed to me: "What are you? Half Japanese, Half Jewish?." So that's how I get introduced on stage, from now on. "Our Drummer, Corwin Brust: Half Japanese, Half Jewish. All Hungarian."

Wednesday we attempted to make it out to the Renaissance festival site, but didn't make it further then alierajean's place. Mmmm Dr. Who. Thursday we actualy did make it out to the site, but managed to miss the Illustrious Campground Director, thereby accomplishing little. Friday I got serious about my "new job" feelers, but mostly we did nothing. Ah, sweet nothing.

Saturday was Anika's last day with Dee before going off to Violin Camp, and so featured me keeping out of under foot, for the most part. Did get to take-in a Twins game with Dee's folks -who are good company for baseball- and explain some of the rules to Anika- who isn't.

Sunday we recorded insolation tracks (Bass and Vocals) and rawed fish. And drank. Oh, how we drank. Anyway, long story short: I think we're in serious danger of having a record. Soon even.

ST. PAUL -- Corwin's World Wide Web (internet) domain, recently down, is once again serving documents and now offers a Brother Seamus scratch-track in MP3 format.

Most services for MPLS.cx and hosted domains and sub-domains has been restored. Comming amid rumors of broken servers and inaccessable services, news that documents are once again flowing cannot have come too soon. Confirmed report of broken or inaccessable services had included Domain Name Hosting and Electronic Mail as well as the distribution of various documents --hyper-text, and otherwise-- via the Hyper-text Transfer Protocol.

Still broken is incomming email, and with no time-table for restoration of this important service given critics have been quick to suggest that the MPLS.cx administrative team (known for an affection for Perl) have taken an overdose of that language's first virtue.

In addition to mpls.cx several other domains had been affected. In the words of one systems' admistrator "If I was hosting somthing for you it's probably broken." This person went on to call upon users to come forward with work requests while "I'm still [working] with things."

Aparently related is the news that a first issuance from Brother Seamus has been made available. While long awaited, sources inside MP3 file's comments field are quick to describe this as "a roughly mixed scratch track".
